Microsoft sells Dynamics 365 Finance and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management as two applications, each listed at $210 per user a month paid yearly, with Premium tiers at $30012.
Best for: JD Edwards customers standardised on Microsoft that want a cloud ERP with list prices they can model before talking to sales.
Not the right fit for: Companies that want to avoid per-user licensing, or that need AI agents without a separate credit budget.
What Dynamics 365 offers a JD Edwards customer
Together, the two applications cover the finance and supply chain core that most JD Edwards customers run. Microsoft describes Finance as an intelligent, automated core financial management solution, and Finance Premium as adding business performance management capabilities with higher capacity and storage entitlements1. Supply Chain Management Premium adds advanced planning, analytics and insights, and an Intelligent Order Management add-on is listed at $315 a month for 1,000 order lines2.
Prebuilt agents run on Copilot Credits. Credits are included in Finance Premium and otherwise bought separately1. A budget for a JD Edwards replacement should therefore carry three lines: Finance users, Supply Chain users and agent credits.

Strengths and limits
Strengths
- List prices are published for both applications, which makes a first budget possible.
- Prebuilt agents are part of the product, with the credit model stated on the pricing page.
- An Intelligent Order Management add-on is priced at $315 a month for 1,000 order lines.
Limits
- Finance and Supply Chain Management are priced separately per user, so a full replacement has to budget for both.
- Copilot Credits are an extra line item unless you buy Finance Premium.
- Implementation is through partners, and those costs are not on Microsoft’s pricing pages.
Choose another option if: Your user count is large and mostly occasional, or you want AI agents without a metered credit model.
Pricing
Published list prices: Finance and Supply Chain Management each $210 per user a month paid yearly; Premium tiers $300; Copilot Credits extra except in Finance Premium.
Questions to ask Microsoft and its partners
- How do Finance and Supply Chain licences combine for a user who needs both?
- How many Copilot Credits would our expected agent use consume each month?
- Which partner has moved a JD Edwards customer of our size, and can we speak to that customer?
- Which JD Edwards functions, such as real estate or joint-venture accounting, need an add-on or a partner solution?
The side-by-side comparison shows Dynamics 365 against the rest of the field.
